the indication light has gone. The indication
light will be on and off from time to time
indicating that the selected temperature is being
maintained.
-
-
This iron can be used with normal tap water.
If the water in your area is particularly hard. It
is advisable to use distilled or demineralized
water to prevent the scale forming on the
critical point of the iron.
-
-
Do not use chemically de-scaled water.
FILLING WITH WATER
-
-
-
Ensure that the iron is disconnected from the
power supply before filling.
Note: Water may leak from the soleplate if the
temperature selected is too low.
Turn the dry/steam selector dial to “0” or dry
position.
This will then cause stains. If it happens, Set the
temperature control to the advised position for
steam ironing. Steaming will re-commence as
soon as the appropriate temperature has been
reached.
Fill water through the aperture using the
measuring cup only. (If you fill the iron at the
tap water can spill into the electrics and trip
your earth leakage or blow the iron.)

FUTURE REFERENCE
Note: When using the iron for the first time,
testing on an old piece of fabric to ensure that
the soleplate and water tank is completely
clean.
8. To protect against the risk of electric shock, do
not immerse the iron, cord or plug in water or
other liquids.
SAFETY PROTECTIVE CUT – OUT
In the unlikely event of the thermostat failing, the
protection cut – out will operate to prevent the iron
overheating. The iron should then be taken to an
authorized dealer/service agent for repair.
9. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts,
hot water or steam, Be caution when you turn
a steam iron upside down: there may be hot
water in the tank.
10.Do not allow the mains cord to touch hot
surface. Let the iron cool down completely
before taking it away. Wind the main cord
around the iron when storing.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. Please read all instructions before use.
2. Ensure the voltage rating on the type plate
corresponds to the main voltage in your home.
3. Use the iron only for its intended use.
4. The iron should always be switched off before
connecting or disconnecting from the power
supply. Never yank/pull the cord to disconnect
the plug from the wall socket.
11.Always disconnect the main plug from wall
socket before filing the iron with water or
pouring the remaining water out.
12.To avoid an overloaded circuit, do not operate
another high voltage appliance in the same
electric circuit.
13.If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a
10-ampere (Europe) or 15 ampere (America)
cord should be used. Cords rated for less
amperage may overheat. Care should be taken
to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or
tripped over.
5. Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord
or plug. Never use the iron if it is damaged in
any way. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not re-assemble the iron. Take it to a qualified
serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect
re-assembling can cause electric shock when
the iron is used.
14.This iron is for household use only.
15. Traveling irons are not intended for normal use.
